I need a good idea for a gas tank to use on my ranger build up. I'm moving it into the bed and the long ass 20 gallon just isnt going to cut it. i'm looking for a 16ish gallon, more squared off tank but cant decide on what to use. Also, i would like to reuse my stock 4.0 sending unit/fuel pump assembly. I did some research and i was told to use a bII tank or a reserve tank from a ranger but i have never seen the reserve tank.

Anyone have any idea's?? I would greatly appreciate it thanks.

Your LOCATION would be nice, as most companies (UPS, FedX, USPS, etc) won't ship a used tank. So your limited to a NEW fuel cell from Jegs, Summit, Speedway Motors, or whoever, OR within drivin distance from you.

I'm in SE TN and have a 23 gal. Bronco II tank I was gonna use on my green 94, but it sat way too low for my likin..............

Pittsburgh pa, I really dont feel like spending a decent amount of money on a fuel cell. I'm just too cheap at the moment and can get my hands on a used tank for under 30 bucks, so why not, i just dont know which one to use. I'm mounting it in the bed so the problem of it hanging low is not a bother for me, but are these tanks metal or some type of plastic like the ranger tanks are? Also, how will my fuel pump/sending unit work with that bII tank? thanks for the input. Friend of mine has a tank from a 05, 4.0 jeep tj he said he would give to me. Thats an option

BII tank is metal and as was said holds 23 gallons. Not sure on the fuel pump/sending unit as I don't have a 4.0 to try in the tank.

Alot of old boats use Alum. or plastic fuel cells.Thats what Im shopping for.I have a 12 gal. now but Im looking fr a 16.
