Ford Parts lists SP412 (AGSF24N) - Multiple sources say the plugs are nickel center electrode and nickel ground electrode. Platinum won't hurt but it is above and beyond the specified plug.

Autolite AP5143 is the alternate plug since Autolite usually makes Motorcraft spark plugs.

Hmm. The source I read was from 2012. Nickel vs high voltage seems a nutty concept to me. I've never tinkered with it. I kinda cringe at the idea. Especially as these V6's with 3-coil packs. That's a waste spark design if I'm not mistaken. So it fires plugs twice for every compression. I studied Tesla biographies and inventions since 80's.
My truck JUST started misfiring last night in rain. So I bought SP498 set and wires. Have my eyes on coil packs, but if I don't see evidence of failure as in carbon tracks, or fail my multi meter check I'll hold off.

I thought they were platinum plugs as well until I looked up the part numers and compared the listed specs on various websites. Motorocraft.com was absolutely useless in providing any info in this instance, which is unusual, since they are pretty good at listing specs for fluids.
