I have a 1994 Mazda B3000 Ext. Cab, 2wd, 3.0L V6 and I need new shocks. Strictly surface roads, but I carry around 350-400lbs of music gear inside an A.R.E. shell. I could use some recommendations for shocks. I've looked at Bilstein and Rancho, but I really don't have any idea what I should be looking for. Any suggestions and/or info would be appreciated.

Word.

I have Bilstein 5125's ($75 a piece) and they have been worth their weight in gold. They work better and better the more you load the bed down. And they ride great even without a load.

I second 4.0B2's notion.

Any gas charged shock will be ok though. If you are looking for ride comfort mainly I would go with the Bilstiens, especially since it sounds like you drive alot. Rancho's are pretty generic, and as such they don't ride that good, or at least the ones I had didn't.
