When I first got this truck I planned on putting beltech 6400 shackles on it (still do actually). Upon researching I found that they would not clear the exhaust. My original plan was just too cut the tail pipe and weld on a turn down after the muffler. Then I found a thrush chambered muffler at a yard sale for $15. When I watched videos of what the 4 cylinder sounded like with these mufflers I felt it was much too ricey. A quick Amazon search found a 2 1/4 in resonator was about $25 so I decided to stack them. I used an old turn down tip my dad had laying around and bought a couple of adapters and the total came to about $60-80. I'm happy with the sound. It still has a distinct 4 cylinder sound but I think it's quieter and much less obnoxious than many of the other exhausts I've heard, and if a full tail pipe was used it'd be even quieter.
Yes I know the welds are ugly, it'd been about 10 years since my dad had welded and we had a few leaks first time around. It's been on for almost a year and a half and still no leaks so I think it should be good.
I took a few videos this morning, I'll link then tonight when I get back home.
Thanks guys, if you have any questions ask.
