I live on a dirt road and the wash board really puts a hrting on my bj and tie rods. Its time for me to replace them. What are the best options to go with. Im not into going to vatozone every 6 months to replace them. I need some durable joints that will last. Any suggestion will be great.

Napa Pro, Raybestos Pro, Dana spicer. lifetime warranty. What you want are the ones with the blue boots.

I just got done replacing all my Ranger's balljoints not too long ago. I used Moog parts as they can be greased and seem better built to last.

Yup, these right here.

Been though many Moog parts, won't be doing that again.

FWIW, I somewhat recently discovered Dana sold their suspension parts division to Affinia Group, who now makes the Raybestos Professional Grade (brands like McQuay-Norris and Wix (filters) are also under the Affinia umbrella). Their quality appears to be unchanged from Dana Spicer joints that I can tell (long outlasting the Moogs I had).

Also, not every Raybestos joint has a blue boot, but for sure the presence of one (together with the gold-zinc anodized body) means you're getting the good parts.

there advanced technology means there stuffed with plastic, remember if you dont grease them they wont last, comparing dana spicer joints with moogs isnt the same as the moogs are for standard use the dana are for commercal use , moog joints in mine have 200k on them, still good

I've got raybestos pro grade on my truck. Very happy with them. They have stood up to my abuse very very well.

I too travel a ton of gravel/dirt roads that have major washboard. I've jumped my truck several times, etc. raybestos have not let me down yet.

I was on rock auto. I see they have 2 different moog joints. One for economy which i assume are the cheap ones and the ones for more money under commercial use. Are those the ones i want? As far as the spicer joints go.... Where can i buy them? Napa vaotzone oreilly rock auto dont sell them.

And would some one please tell me what the pinch bolt or non pinch bolt thing is about. Mine is a ttb 4x4 i can see the upper joint buti cant really tell what the bottom one is.

Dana joints are u joints not ball joints, and yes the commerical ones, pinch bolt refers to a lower knuckle that takes a straight shanked joint the knuckle has a pinch bolt that goes thru a slot in the ball joint shank, the bolt is on the lower joint about mid way up the joints shank, if yours has it sometimes there are mid year changes, so if you can not find it you may call a store and see if they need a vin# that will tell you that maybe the case

Look a few posts up. Spicer (Dana) is now Raybestos.
