That goes for the russian ones too. They don't shoot for shit for the same reason no amount of crap and damage will stop the from shooting. They are manufactured with tolerences measured in lightyears.

besides, assault rifles are for flinging as much ammo downrange as possible, not for accurate target shooting.

I disagree. In a firefight if you aimlessly fling rounds downrange you are giving your enemy more opporrunity to take you down as well as endangering the lives of innocent/friendlies in the area. This day in age spray and pray is not an effective method of combat. We still use light machine guns for supression and diversion and heavy machine guns to disable enemy equipment. Beyond that you need a weapon that'll put a single round center mass, right where you're aiming.

When you start putting several hundreds of rounds through them a day you'll see what i'm talking about.

I seriously doubt he will be putting hundreds of rounds through it a day, unless he's shooting 3 gun, and if he's shooting 3 gun with an AR10.....well he has deeper pockets then I do. Or unless he isn't telling us he's a secret agent man or something, so I think the AR's reliability issues are a non-issue. Also, gas piston uppers have proven themselves to be pretty damn reliable.

I second that sentiment. AK's are fun to shoot if it belongs to someone else. I'll never own one.
