I came across the JD2 model on ebay for under 300. thats not to bad of a price!

this guy sells his bender plans for under $20 and claims that you can build the bender with a hydro ram for under $200.

if it were less than a 5 hour drive i would concider it. but dang thats a haul

yeah, it maybe a haul for ya....but only 45mins. from me....

so after we do the fab work....we all go over to TB for a kick a$$ time

Those benders do work, i've used one of those to make all kinds of projects, all the tube work on my truck, bumpers, cages, drag race cages, etc.

Actually, I think the one i have now is the Cummins Tools version, but it's essentially the same thing, I've used the HB bender before also. It's nowhere near as good as a mandrel bender and will kink cheaper pipe. One trick is to keep the dies lubed with oil or spray lube and it will work better.

You can definitely get a better bender, but that will work for occasional projects. If you're not in a hurry, keep shopping you can get that one on sale for less that $100, i think i've seen those go for $80-90 before.

I bought my bender, the 105, used on c list, which I check religiously for deals. I only have a 1.5" die but through local 4x4 forums Ive found many people willing to borrow their dies. I wont buy anything from harbor freight as their tools are f*in worthless as hell, and mostly produced outside the US

i know where i can get the box and angle from easy enough...just they generally only have schd. 40 or schd. 80 pipe for the mines in stock....

guess i can call about getting some DOM or HREW....

believe me, if it weren't for a bender, i would have built my rear bumper and sliders a long time ago....

there not too bad, yea there is a couple local places for tube...ill get some prices tonight, i only have 1in and 1.5 dies right now which will do for most stuff hope to get the 1.75 soon...anybody wanna kick in?
