I’ve found a bunch of full bench to bucket (or 60/40) posts. I’m curious if one has a leg or head room advantage. I’ve read that the full bench to bucket conversion requires some drilling, but what about bucket to full bench?

The bench seat only has two seat tracks, the buckets have 4, so no modifications to go bench. Sometimes I think it would be nice to have a bench seat again, but in my '90 it's nice to have storage, arm rest and cup holders... You might gain an inch of leg room with a bench, so it's not going to be much...

Might gain an inch? I’ll have to track one down and try it. It seems like my old explorer (same year) had at least 6” more leg room than this std cab. I’ll take every inch I can get!

That's what she said...

Your truck reg cab or extended? If its a reg cab Id imagine that the explorer had more legroom because the seats rearward movement wasn't limited by the back of the cab/window.

Std can rangers were not made for people over 5' 10"....

I think the bench seat would give a tiny bit more leg room because they have shorter backs so they could go back farther before hitting the glass. Though personally I'd still rather have a bucket of 60/40 seat since they are simply more comfortable than any bench seat short of a 80's Cadillac.
