Has anyone have any issues with the moddbox SC kit. I keep reading everywhere that no one had problems. But here i am. Having troubles. 2005 ford ranger fx4 SOHC 4.0. I went throught he instructions multiple times seeing if i missed anything. It doesnt seam like i did. the email service over at moddbox is lackluster because its the weekend. I wouldnt want to work on a weekend either. So here i am, makijng a post here to see if there is anything i missed

What issues are you having?

I am having a code
P0174 system too lean bank2
P0401 exhaust gas recirc flow insufficient
P0171 system too lean bank 1
P0174 system too lean bank 2

I'm running 93 octane. New fuel filter. I'm here thinking whether or not it's be worth just getting bigger injectors or a la sota tune. Moddbox says I shouldn't be getting any codes, but here I am. Tomorrow I'm heading to the junk yard to get back the stock parts I should of kept, but tossed

maf condition....intake leaks......running fuel psi under load.

well.....you have a massive air ingestion gift..

if your fuel filter is shitty or the pump is laying down your gonna lose fuel capacity.

fuel psi is critical....more importantly...FUEL VOLUME UNDER LOAD.... not simply at idle....but under load.

and make damn sure you are gawkin at those spark plugs.

Lean means you either have too much unmetered air or not enough fuel. They’re basically the same thing, but different. I’d smoke the intake and look for leaks, test fuel pressure and volume. That should help pint you in the right direction.

I'll see if I can do a smoke test and fuel pressure at idle and under load tomorrow and see where it's at.

The fuel pump is from moddbox too

Also where are the codes coming up? If you have something to watch the fuel trims that would help, even the dumb blue OBD II things with Torque light watching the fuel trims would help knowing where the problem is. If it's high all the time that's a problem but if it's high at cruise or at boost then that's a demand issue and could be pressure at the fuel rail or something.

The code reader can read the short and the long ratios. I just don't know what would be normal and what would be expected
