Bench seat options.

howdy all.

I'd like to put a bench seat into my truck. 94 reg cab.

the buckets in there now have cigarette burns and look as muddy as the roads i drive on, and i prefer a bench seat in a truck anyway.

I'm wondering what my options are. I'm looking at an easy drop-in sort of job here. Obviously I know a bench seat out of a 93-97 ranger will work. What about out of a 1st gen ranger, there's a guy on CL near me that has one out of an 83.

What about a 94 taurus bench seat? it seems like the floor in my buddy's car is similar to my truck.

For the record, I don't care if it's a solid bench seat or a 60/40 style. I just want to get rid of the buckets and creaky plastic center console.

I can't help you much with the seat issue. I know that I like having a bench aspect to my seat as well.

I like that you're wanting to put a solid bench in a splash. Post some pics when you're done, please.

thanks for the reply, and I appreciate the thumbs up. I just talked to a guy here on CL that has a 60/40 bench that I'm goin to take a look at in a couple days, so I hope that works out.

update; just picked up a new chrome bumper and 60/40 bench off of a 96 (i think) locally today. will post pictures of the "swap" tomorrow, hopefully.
