Sometimes when i would start my truck the belt would squeak for just a minute or 2 and would go away when it warmed up. today though i start it up and its worse than ever. i let it run for awhile and thinking it would stop like always but it never did. sprayed belt dressing, no change. i did a search and came up with the conclusion that it could be the tensioner or the cam synchro. my question though, do the 93's even have a cam synchro or should i just have the tensioner replaced.

what happens to the tensioner that makes it squeak?

The spring in it just gets weak, allowing it to bounce back and forth while idling. I think this causes the squeak.
