so i need 2 more inches of rear lift to level it up with the front after the jeep coils, and I have a set of 2" factory blocks from a 86 4x4 ranger i scrapped. i planned on putting in them, but i do like having new parts.
i was wondering if the belltechs will have any advantages over the blocks, like will the longer shackles make it ride easier, or flex better?
or will it give me the same effect as the blocks would?
thanks!

Blocks increase axle wrap, the shackles won't.

I'd definitely go with the shackles. The shackles in some cases can improve flex to some extent too.

thanks man. i done a quick search for them and on ebay the shipping is 100 bucks, i will run shackles made of popsicle sticks before i pay that.
i am going to the city this weekend so i will check a couple stores then and see what they have.

Check out the Teraflex XJ shackles. They are a bolt on, greasable and made from 1/4". I bent my Belltechs and will be upgrading to the Teraflex soon.

I got belltech 6400's for sale. like new:

They work really for some extra height, a great alternative to blocks. They do change the pinion angle slightly because your pushing the spring down, but its no biggie, I didn't get any vibrations the little bit I used them. If it bugged you put some wedges in there and avoid the blocks and have the best of both worlds...lol.

Lemme know if you need the shackles.

teraflex shackles for off road use only....ive seen alot of people run them on the street they create some very very funky characteristics....i would not recommend them for anything but a rock crawler

Boggin, I have extra belltechs I ordered 55 with shipping from a site. I ordered 2 by accident still new in box. Too bad you weren't closer. I was trying to seller for 30.
Ohh 40 shipped, that's not bad.

Im not talking about the revolver shackles or something like that. Just a beefy lift shackle. How would this give you funky handling?

According to Powerstroker, they are a direct replacement for the Belltechs. He said his bolted right in and it remained the same height as the Belltechs. He was wheeling them in Moab when I saw them.
