I want to lift the rear two inches. Which is the best bet? I know a lot of people are using belltech.

The belltech's, hands down. They actually increase suspension travel where as the add a leaf will probably limit it and ride harsher.

canpt you install add-a-leafs upside down, so they won't come into play until the spring is already highly compressed? They come stock like that on a lot of Toyotas.

That would be the overload leaf, not an add a leaf. An add a leaf has more arch than the stock leaves, thus lifting the rear end.

The shackle is still the better way to go performance wise.

I think the shackles are probably also a bit easier to install.

I definitely agree, shackles are better. I've been considering doing both to my Bronco II...but I was thinking of an overload leaf, which would only gain me the thickness of the leaf. I'm planning a 4" Skyjacker lift but I want to do everything I can to reduce or eliminate the need for a lift block.

Awesome! That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Thanks everybody.
