I'm going to pull a tranny for my Ranger at pick n pull tomorrow. My truck is a 87, 2.3, toyo kogyo 5 speed. The donor truck is a 87, 2.9, Toyo Kogyo 5 speed. My question is, is the bell housing the same for the v6 and the four cylinder? Thanks

no and i don't remember if you can change those i think you can but i am not positive.

Yeah, they unbolt on the Toyo's. I just didn't know if the bolt pattern was the same.

Engine to bell housing = No the bell housing is smaller for the 4 cyl.
Bellhousing to Trans = Yes the bell housing has the same 4 bolt patern which isnt very hard to remove at all.

Thanks, I figured the bell housing was different. This is the first Ranger I've owned with the four cylinder.
