Been through 4 5r55e's within 4 years.

I ought to lol but I already have a 2011 manual with only 33,000 miles and its the exact color and options as my 2000.

Fix that cursed truck one more time, sell it, drive the 2011.

I'm not sure how you havnt burnt that truck to the ground by now to be honest lol. You have some serious persistence.

Yeah my dad has been telling me the same thing. I will try blowing the lines out and if that don't fix it, I"ll guess I'll ride the rest of my warranty out and then consider it's doom.

On a side note, I noticed you have a 2021 Ranger. Do you like it? I actually had a 2019 xlt that I traded for the 2011. Reason being, I settled on it being black, big mistake. It also had the luxury interior which I didn't like. I should have just got what I wanted, XL 4D 4x4 with the STX package.

That's exactly what I got (plus towing package & locker) , and I'm way more than perfectly happy with it.

My only annoyance is with the Bluetooth radio.

It connects to my phone flawlessly when I start the truck, and will immediately start playing pandora as long as it's open in my phone... but it'll only play for a few seconds and then pause itself.. requiring me to hit the play button to resume tunes.

Other than that.... perfect. I'm looking forward to spending many years with it.

Personal conclusion from this thread; if you've got a 5r55 Tranny:
~ renew ATF+Filter & adjust Bands often; update+service ValveBody as needed.
~ when problems begin, repair\rebuild it yourself if possible; if not hopefully you have an honest+competent independent tranny shop.
Do NOT trust a local Ford shop to fix your problem;
they WILL sell+install a Tranny at an outrageous price, but simply have little incentive to do it right;
they're no longer adequately trained\experienced on transmissions out of production for 10+ years,
& are certainly motivated to get you into a new vehicle.
