Bought my 1996 RangerXL in Seattle while I lived in an apartment for $1100 on craigslist. Had 140,000k,miles gas gauge didn't work, and it had lots of cosmetic issues plus the bench was broke on the driver's side.
Can't find a picture of the whole truck when I bought it I'll keep looking, here's the bedside dent.

Did what i could on it while evading apartment maintenance and management after I bought it
lugs coil packs, thermo stat, waterpump, upper lower radiator hose, serpentine, timing belt, front main seal, shocks, tires/rims, tail light covers. I hoped it was the fuel sending unit so I replaced that ended up being the gauge to I replaced the fuel gauge cluster.
After driving some 900 odd miles with a few stops from Seattle to Missoula Montana my key lock cylinder decided to take a crap write in my new drive way. Glad it didn't do that on the way in Spokane or Ellensburg. Ended up having to drill the cylinder out( I know it sounds crazy but it wouldn't comeout for nothing tried everything to unlock the steering and get it to release but it wouldn't, fixed now though.)
Here in Montana I have a garage did alot of mechanical/body work already.
Heres what it looks like so far after I painted the rims/trim black(trim/bumper is all rustoleum) did all the body work on the side you see that looks okay. The other side is primered gray on the bedside where the dent is fixed.

Drilled and slide hammered best I could then I used Evercoat tiger hair long strand fiberglass reinforced Body filler under short strand fiberglass reinforced body filler(lol won't be using tiger hair anymore its like shaping concrete but it should hold up I wanted it strong lol) Thebody line on the bed was alot of fun to match let me tell yeah.
NOW whats next is I'm waiting for bolts and blocks for my 1 inch body lift. Used Fastenal bolts for some reason they are cheaper than ace for 10.9 metrics. Blocks are coming from performance accessories, was gonna go hockey puck but all hell broke loose when I asked about the procedure on ranger forums. And besides around here the hockey pucks are more expensive than the actual lift blocks from Per. Acces. The paint is all sanded down with 60 grit I'm getting ready for the rustoleum paint job. I'll take pics later today. Other than paint, body lift, I need to redo the bedliner owner before did a shit hole of a job gritting up the paint in the bed.
The last bits of mechanical work short of a engine swap that I've done here in Montana is the exhaust back up until the cat they want a pretty penny for one of those cats so i said screw that. I Forced my self into buying an oxysensor after replacing the original clutch with 150k on it.(long story the tranny came down and took the downstream oxy sensor with it.)did the rear main seal while I was down there and also went ahead and replaced the master slave cylinder so I don't have to go down their again. While I had the transmission out I did the Mazda Tranny rubber plug swap I used the Dorman freeze plugs.
