Beef's Work and Play Build!!!!!

Got the new rear shocks installed, it rides %100 better!!!!

Little update
So ive been tinkering with the ranger the past couple days in the driveway just doing little stuff since i have a car torn apart in the garage and im waiting for parts for it but thats another discussion...... anyways, i replaced the air filter because it was packed full of gunk. added a quart of oil until i get time to change it. i also pulled the light bar off the front bumper....

apparently the previous owner didnt own any wrenches so he just welded shit up like a jackass such as:

and i took her through her strides:

but i found out it wont engage into 4lo unless i climb under the truck and yank on the lever coming out of the transfer case and it falls out of gear so i need to adjust it some how.

Got the t-case adjusted tonight so now it will stay in 4 Low. I also sold my Roll bar to Funnyman141 so I got some extra cash to waste :icon_twisted:

well i took it out wheeling for a couple hours today, it did really well for what i expected!!! it did so well i never took any pics, my bro has one video of it stuck though, i'll have to see if i can get it from him. The lock rite will be an awesome improvement of my open rear!!!! along with a set of extended Radius Arms :)

So, little update, i bought a Set of Duff Extended Radius Arms off of another TRSer!!!! I'm super pumped, even though they probably wont get put on until after this winter and i get a Dana 35 bought, built, and installed. which as we all know take time and money which once again.....i'm low on both, the story of my life. On another note, i have been DDing the Ranger and pulling 14.5 MPG out of it still so i can't complain.

Radius Arms came in about 5 minutes ago!!!! ill have pics up later, but does any one know what screws in them to mount to the bracket on the frame??? is it a stud or a hiem??? and does any one have pics of their tranny cross members with the radius arm mounts built in???

I installed a 180* T-stat tonight, went impressively smooth, took all of 5 minutes. Then i did the "throttle cable mod" which was also an awesome improvement. I also found a set of hiems for the Radius arms, but havent ordered them yet, im not in a hurry since they will probably sit around for 6 months anyways.

on a side note, i got a couple of projects finished and my powerstroke back together the other day and she's running great so i should have some more time to devote to the ranger. so hopefully i'll have some time to wheel the ranger more and maybe get the lock right installed

well, i've found my self in a predicament as of lately. ever since i bought this ranger ive been determined to make the TTB work well for a DD and weekend wheeler. But.....the more i look the more i find myself looking into a D30 SAS. It seems like i would have the same amount of money, probably the same or less time and a better end product with a SAS. i have absolutely NO intention of running bigger than a 35 but will more than likely stick with 33s so i feel like a D30 would be strong enough and reliable enough for my needs.

Any Input???

so, i'm still at a loss as to what i should do, i sold the radius arms to start funding the sas but now i'm kinda looking at buying a house so i might do a mild Dana 35 TTB build.
Who knows, we'll just see what parts i get a good deal on.

bought a set of tires and rims off craigslist last night, i'll try to get pics this weekend

I Bought a house and an engagement ring in the past month so money is pretty slim. Slowed down my build even more:bawling:
Oh well, now i will have my own place to work on my toys:icon_bounceblue:

D30=bad wheel bearings. look at my mazda, escortgts's truck, danger ranger. i finally ditched the 30 swaped in a fullwidth HP44 using the jeep long arms I had on the 30 and a fullwidth 9 in the rear(using the same springs and everything) . I also up'd the tire size from 33's to 37's now (hopefully 38's this week) and i have NEVER looked back. ive been running the fullwidth's almost a full year now and have had minimal issues (1 broke axle joint) still fit down all the narrow trails i did before however i find it easier. the tires sticking out further helps keep the body off tree's.

oh and find yourself a donor explore and swap in a 4.0 you wont regret it. swaped one in the b2 listed in my sig line and that thing rocks. have yet to desire more power in the small rig.

Well, im pretty sure im going to be rockin the D28 for a while as much as i would like to swap in something different. I'll do something when it breaks, which shouldn't be long when i start wheeling the truck. Here are my tires and rims i bought last weekend.

but here is a question, what the hell is this??? It looks like a shock mount but it is in front of the spring. Why would it be in front???
