went and picked up the parts truck, i dont think i\your going to want any body parts, the truck was a roll over. i'll look to see what parts it has that your looking for and let you know.

well the weather has been pretty cold and now it is snowing so i haven't even started pulling parts off of the parts truck. i have put about 200 miles on the ranger in the past week or 2 and now i have a problem....the truck runs great when i start it the first time of the day, when i drive it and it gets up to temp it continues to run great, but when i shut it off and restart it it runs like shit. It bogs down and wont rev up, if i drive it for a couple minutes the manifolds to center of the cat start glowing. I'm not sure if the cat is plugged or if it is a sensor messing up. i think i am going to pull the cat and see if it runs better, if it does i'll probably throw the cat from the 87 on. it starts running good as soon as i let it cool all the way back down.
any ideas what it might be???


On the other hand, i ordered the turbo for my powerstroke today. Bye Bye $1200.
Oh well, it is bigger and better than stock. So it should be mid 13 1/4 miles and pull pretty good for the couple local county fairs i hook up to a sled for.

well, the cat doesnt act up now that it is warm, but i think im going to cut it out any way. i was at advanced auto the other day and bought both fuel filters and a coil, hopefully they will help some. I also got the a/c compressor off of my parts truck so i am hoping to get it mocked up for OBA tomorrow night

turns out the muffler was plugged so now i put on a flowmaster knock off a buddy at the exhaust shop had laying around, it is pretty loud but runs 100 times better, now i just need to figure out where/how to exit it from under the truck
any ideas???

well, i got the new muffler on, sounds good. I just dumped the exhaust over the axle, it really lowered the cab drone so i'm happy. I also got the shifter boot fixed, it has been flapping around since i bought the truck. I also got the turn signal switch fixed, it was stuck on brite so i took the one out of the parts truck and it works great.
I also got a lead on some 4.10 Dana 35 gears for pretty reasonable so i might get to do my 35 swap this summer!!!!!
One more thing, anyone know if 2wd Radius arms are the same as 4WD Arms??? the parts truck has some and they appear the same so i think i am going to extended them that way i can just swap the stuff out with minimal down time.

well, i pulled some bushes out at my new house today, i had the chain wrapped around the rear crossmember and bent it back till it touched the bumper, the good news is is that i was looking at making a new one since the stock crossmember was going to be in my way for my new bumper idea.

well, this probably needs updated so......
The motor is out of my saturn getting rebuilt and I totaled my powerstroke 2 weeks ago.
So ive been driving the ranger or my dads little beater neon.
I bought a D35 from Funnyman, so whenever he gets time to pull it i can tear it apart and get my 4.10s in it and get it thrown in... I just need to figure out what to do with my steering situation. I tightened up the box tonight and it made a world of difference but it still needs something done to make it right wether it is a stone crusher, super runner, or homebrewed piece it needs done. So i gues we'll see

No updates, besides i got a couple piles of dirt to fill in some low spots at the house my fiance and I bought in december.
Not much new with the ranger, got the floor pan welded in, but my saturn is done, and my house is gutted lol. hopefully i'll be able to squeeze in sometime to work on the ranger in the next week or 2 but my wedding is 2 months away so ive been pretty busy

i finally worked on the old girl tonight, i realized it has a stock pitman arm, probably a big part of why my steering sucks. I started swapping to a FA400 i have laying around but i cant get the old arm off of the drag link without destroying the joint.
any suggestions.

I am gathering parts for my Dana 35 Swap now too. I already bought a 4.10 R&P.

got the pitman arm on tonight, it is a vast improvement over the stock arm but it still isn't perfect.
