Bed swap?

Ive searched but cant find my answer. My bed had rust around the rear wheel wheels and I cut the fenders and dont like the look of how much I cut them out. Its a reg cab long bed '92 ranger, What is the measurement from the front of the bed to the wheel well? Can I put a short bed on a long bed frame and cut the frame rails off that stick out? Or it the length different between the cab and front of the wheel well? It looks to me the the only difference in lenght is, behind the wheel well and the tail gate

ok, I just test fit the 33's and they look good with the fenders cut. Ill just pull the 3in body lift off when I do the 4in skyjacker lift. Any one have any pics of a 4in suspension and 33's on a gen 2 with cut fenders? Also will I have enough room to flex with just a 4in suspension or should I leave the 3in body on aswell just to have that much more room for the tires to come up and tuck?
