i had sold my original throw in bedliner. and the bed under it was all scratched up, so i became redneck:D and spray painted it flat torador red........ that was 3 months ago, now the spray is peeling in some spots and looks faded and like a red desert.... ill say it now, I CANT GET A NEW THROW IN AND I CANT GET A SPRAY/ROLL IN. so whats the best way to remove the spray but still keep the original factory paint under it?

sandpaper,400grit maybe, that way u remove the damaged paint and the shine on the original paint, so the spray liner can adhere.
sandpaper your head too for selling the original drop liner

the old 1 didnt keep anything still, even the guy i sold it to sayd the same thing

thats why beds have cargo tiedowns
i always tie everything i carry on the trucks bed, mine has the factory liner and i wont sell it never, it has saved the bed so many times from scratches and dents. not only the beds floor, also the side shoulders.

sure.
i think a mild sanding can help u for removing the old paint.
lets wait some more opinions

im thinking of taking mine out, paint the bed with a spray or roll liner and put the plastic back again, to protect from rust. i wanna paint the trucks frame to :D

i gotta a throw in bedlinertht im lookin to gt rid of......make me an offer

i could give ya 30 for it. thats all i got

sure...but youd hve to pick it up.....my address is 46 schuyler dr commack ny, 11725

Personally....I prefer a bedmat over the $500 spray in or the stupid slick drop in or the roll on crap that peels after abuse and use. I got my $120 new bedmat off craigslist for $20. Shit don't slide everywhere on a grippy bedmat.

You're suffering from improper prep.

Do you have access to a hot water pressure washer?? That should take off all the flaking crap paintjob. If not, a nice high power pressure washer with the yellow tip should do just as good to loosen up the paint flaking.
