Well the bed liner on exterior is SCRATCH PROOF but NOT tree proof.got me a nice dent in my RHINO LINED TRUCK :bawling: I am going to try popping it out but a guy at work says liner will come off,if it does can it be patched? But I digress, what are the differences in B series beds and Ranger beds, truck in question is 94 b4000 reg cab sb. is ranger bed identical ?

Dents will happen on a 4x4.....changing a bed everytime it gets dinged will get old fast...

Anyways, the mazda bed will fit just fine.

they are not identical as the Mazda beds have a budge to the outer skin, where as the Ranger bed is basically smooth, & not 100% sure but I thought that the taillights are the same just that there upside down & swapped from left to right on the Mazda bed

The tail lights are indeed different. I am not aware of any way to interchange Ranger and the B Series tail lights either. There is also the bulge above the tires. Here are a couple of comparison pics:

I personally think these tail lights that came on some of the B Series pickups (98 and 99 I think) look really nice (better than the Ranger tails):

Thanks for the info ,I guess I need to have a bed like SASQUATCH-RYDA has.

Mazda's also had a regular bed like a Ranger.

I know I have seen the half-stepside bed on late model Rangers from the factory too... but I can't find a pic to save my life.

They came on the newer STX model rangers.

I'm pretty sure there's still more flare to the bedsides on that bed compared a Ranger bed though.

That would be it :icon_thumby:

Hard to say with the plastic flair on the Mazda bed. Looks pretty close to me, without the flair I doubt you could tell.

God those STXs are hideous

I love the grille, and the bumper had potential but they totally blew the proportions of it.

Bed looks sportier than the styleside, more usefull than the stepside.

Yeah if they had continued the bumper with side skirts or made it blend into the rest of the truck better it would be ok.

I don't know... I get a heck of alot of use out of my stepside. More then most fullsizes see. :icon_thumby:
