had a linex bed liner put on a while back, and the installer told me after the job was done that he was unable to get all the bed bolts out, so sprayed the liner on over the bolts. didnt seem like a huge issue at the time, but now im considering putting a body lift kit on. has anyone ever had to remove bed bolts that had been covered by a spray on liner?

And if the bed liner got in the bolt so you can't get the T-55 (I think) socket into it, just use some small needle nose pliers and start digging. I eventually got all of it out so the socket can fit.

I havn't had that issue, but I know someone who has. He took a holesaw and drilled around the bolt head into the liner. Did the trick, and you can't really tell he did it because of the washer they send you in the kit.

That seems to be standard practice for line-x places. When I have to remove the bolts, I use a razor knife and cut around the head of the bolt. The line-x should just peel off the bolt once you cut it loose.

methyl ethyl ketone. read elsewhere that this solvent might dissolve it off the bolt head. anyone used it to take linex off?
