I have been getting a rubbing kind of sound from my right front only when turning left. First thing I thought was to change the bearings. I did that and the sound never went away. I just did the race, inner and outter. Still getting the sound. I noticed that my caliper has a little play in it. I was woundering if that could be causing the sound. Anyway, I took a couple pics of my spindle because it looks like my outter bearing is wearing a grove. I can't remeber if the spindle looked the way it does now the last time I had to take it apart. I don't know what the common wear on a spidle looks like. I took a couple pics.

Unless there is a ridge you can feel by running your fingernail over it, nothing to worry about.

What am I seeing on the face of the part where the seal rides though? Is that all galled up from a blown bearing? or just grease on it?

Not to worry about it?

Signs of loose bearing plus after it wears in some you can tighten the inner nut all the way down will not be able to adju the bearings right. It don't take much wear to make it where you cannot adj them anymore.
