Battery options for 99 Ranger

Oddessy! That is one of the brands I saw that were listed as fitting!
what is in yours now?
The Oddesy comes up as a 59, but its in fact a 65.
its 12" long & a 59 is 10"
heres a pic of a 65 sitting on top of the tray.....

The XS power is the only true 59,

Im sure I cant hack the truck up to make it work but looks sketchy
battery sitting on upright metal edges of the tray.
& now way to strap it down.
along with battery sitting 1/2" closer to hood due to sitting on tray.
I can bend the tray edges but....

The battery trays must have changed. Dimensiins for my Odyssey listed below. You could go to a junk yard and get a 3rd gen battery tray.

A standard lead acid from one of the auto parts stores. The plan is to replace it with an AGM the next time around since I didn't have the money at the time the last lead acid battery failed.

XS Power is the other brand I remember seeing.

with the lifepo batteries available now you can get crazy with batteries.

i run 2-4 conventional group 31's depending on what i am doing.

if you are to the point of needing a new battery and have u pull yards near, many newer vehicles and vans have remote mounted batteries.

the group 31 lifepos i was recently working with for starting two small 3 cyl diesel power units and running telemetrics were wildly light.

buying one or two of those and robbing a few chrysler 300s or dodge chargers of some battery cables is a pretty cost effective way of adding battery capacity under your bed.

i ran an old ramsey for damn near 30 years and it was old when i got it. but a 130 amp alternator and 1st half life battery is plenty to run any winch...even with just one battery.... for normal pulls and duty cycles.
