I don't understand why you think you need to charge your battery when you drive it all the time. The alternator charges the battery when you drive it. If you make very short trips all the time your battery could discharge somewhat but if you drive it at least 5 miles, you should not have to charge your battery unless it is bad. If you let the truck sit without driving very much you may need to charge it periodically.
As has been already said, if you drive it all the time and still want to charge it, it will not hurt the battery if it is a smart charger.
