battery level

aight guys heres the deal last nite i was on the way home and suddenly my battery level dropped almost all the way to the bottom and the battery light came on.so i figured alright ill just ride it out till im home and it died after i got home and turned it off and wont turn back over.i put a new battery in and it will crank but doesnt charge, i also put a new alternator in and it still wont charge...any ideas?/

A bad cable, a bad ground, blown fuse, the list is long.
