Battery Drain Caused by GEM/Speedo

Hi all . . . 1996 Ranger 3.0 5-speed, 120k miles. I don't drive it often, and lately it's been draining the battery when parked. Takes more than a day or so to drain it, but it does happen. Did amperage draw testing, and identified source of problem as Fuse 25, which is listed as GEM/Speedometer. Was wondering if anyone has had this particular issue. Does it sound like the GEM; if so, is the only solution to replace it?

Thanks!
