Barney and L’il Bit

Only reason I learned? Building a 1t 4wd cab & chassis search and rescue dually. I “need” 14 ply rated 7.50-16LT bias ply mudders. Damned things are speed limited to 63 or 68mph… Truck tops out at 72mph, 12k# gvwr, 22k# gcwr, 350 Vortec (carb conversion underway), NV4500 5spd (flimsy), Borg Warner 4470 transfer case (heavy), 4.10 gears and a 1200# all steel 7.5’x 9’ flatbed… Truly needs an SAS, 500 Caddy or 455 Buick swap. Not in the cards for a tired veteran turned corrections officer.

Reversing this undercarriage paint “scheme” for Barney. And both trucks will have creme colored rear axles since I have a can of Interlux top side in that color.
The dually has a black flatbed with bright yellow headache rack and side boards, black over silver cab/front clip, for now… Going with the same dark purple pearl on 4 trucks.

Driver side. 1992 take off wheel, P225/70r14 Uniroyal Liberator A/T. 50k mile tread life my butt, I put close to 65k on them myself… Wish they were easier to find outside of PA, NY and CA.

Gonna take a lot of wire wheels… But, brushed aluminum with a good 2k clear will work. You watch, “Bitty By Tiny” (Shelby) will steal it for one of her red trucks. She’s like a crow, “Ooh, shiny”… 😂🤣
