figured i'd start a barn finds thread, so what kind of finds have you found?

just pick this 125M up a month ago for $250 wash new battery and carb cleaning. runs like new. :headbang:

my buddy's 250 big red all he's done is wash, new rear tires and reverse cable. still needs a seat cover though. he paid $500 for and 2weeks later the guy he got it off of offered $1500 to get it back. my buddy said no-way. :thefinger: lol

the beast. :icon_hornsup: i've posted this thing before. it my buddy's FL250R Odessey not super fast but plenty fast enough for front suspension only. he got plans for more power though soon, unless he sells it first. new seat, shocks and harness. he's looking into getting one of those redline revolt's now. i just can't keep up with him anymore. :annoyed: lol

Im sorry, but i wouldnt own a 3-wheeler. Theres a reason they stopped making them, no one will service them, and parts are getting harder to find.....

They are a death sentence.

Now I am sure Im gonna get bashed for "not knowing how to ride one", or "Ive owned one for 50 years and never even gotten a raod rash".....

But too many people have lost their lives.

Im sorry, but to me..."it is what it is"

you can say the same thing anout lifted trucks , motorcycles , bicycles , any muscle car with a high horsepower big block , drag cars , anything that can go fast or is extremely modified

not acting like a dick to you , you have the right to to your own opinion , i am just stating anything is dangerous in the wrong hands , wheter it has 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6, 10 , 18 , or no wheels

Thats true, and I respect the fact you respect my opinion. Good man :icon_thumby:

yes field finds....I believe the "barn finds" was a phrase for good items found at junk price.

not knock ya, just agreeing. i hear what your saying taragon, but to each his own also. i know their reputation and yes they are very easy to roll. we rolled both of them this weekend exploring his creek (tree huggers go away lol). i rolled traversing down into a ditch. hit a rock with no suspension, so it basicly bucked over just enough. banged my ankle on the clutch cover when i went to jump clear of it lol. my buddy slipped and rolled off the bank into the creek, he jumped clear of it and went for a small swim lol. the big red was on it's top upside-down in about a foot of water. took both of us to roll it back over then hold it onto the bank till we got it moved to a not so steep part.
so yeah they're dangerous, but so is just about everything else poeple do for fun and enjoyment.

field finds, barn finds it's all the same i guess. although junk price isn't the phrase i had in mind, but it does fit. lol

Three wheelers are great, they just don't corner well. For a straightline blast they are cheap fun. The big front wheel plugs up with mud and turned into a oddly placed anchor when you try to go thru really soft spots though.

I have hurt myself worse on my XL-350 dirtbike (that I got out of a guys corncrib BTW) than I ever did on the ol' Honda 110 trike. Come to think of it, I don't think I ever did wreck it, and the worst wreck on my '350 was when I was racing my brother who was riding the trike. He missed the haybale that was hidden in the tall grass that I happened to NAIL right as I was passing him.

Dad had a sprayer he put on the back with a wand, he called it his "Little A", based on the big three wheeled "Big A" sprayer units. It will start right up now... but only idles and has a really loud knock.

32,000 Miles, everything still there. (Motor is there, but not in the car, as you can tell)

I suspension the reason three wheelers flip so easy? I never understodd that, cuz I havent heard that many probs with highway trikes.

Can't you mod a 4 wheeler suspension and rearend under a three wheeler to help with instability if that is the case?

three wheeler plus people not thinking equals bad rep.

With ours the suspension was the big squishy tires. The axles didn't move at all.

yep, but i am looking into using a front fork of a 185 or 200 if it'll work. other than that it's gonna stay basicly a stoock lil work horse to have fun on the weekends.

froggy the main reason is it's basicly a tripod set-up stability wise. compared to a 4wheeler which has four points for stability. any downhill (mainly angled descents) or hard breaking while turning is sketchy to say the least (worse for unexperienced or braindead) for 3wheels compared to 4wheels.

nice mustang black, always a Ford fan, but mustangs never got my goat. still a nice one though. mind if i ask how much? lol

come on i know there's more out there. lets see'em fellas.

I haven't bought these but they are all sitting within 2-3 miles from my house. Took the pics about a year ago most are still sitting in the same spot.
