barely running at stop light

i have a 2000 ranger 4x4 with the 4.0. it has always started alittle bit hard i thought but sometimes it acts like its flooded when i start it after it sits for awhile. it idles alil rough revving up and down but after driving down the road for about a half hour at 65 when i come to the stop light it starts shaking and will barely stay running then will barely take off again i replaced the fuel filter and trans fluid this weekend and the cel went off but the problem stayed please help if you can i dont know if its egr pcv fuel injectors or what it is and dont want to just throw parts at it please help

Check your fuel pressure.

Clean your IAC.

Check for vacuum leaks. http://www.therangerstation.com/Magazine/Summer2003/VacuumLeaks.htm

Inspect all the PCV tubes/elbows, oil filler cap o-ring, and expect to find bad intake manifold gaskets if your codes are P0171 and P0174.

Sounds like what was happening to me.

I replaced the IAC and it hasn't done it since.
