I have 93 ranger with 88 Tbird 2.3 turbo. The BAP is not wired correctly getting code 22. I’ve traced down the wires for 45, 46 and Key ON power. With the locking clip on top looking at connector which wire goes where?

Sorry I didn't get back to your message, haven't sat down at my desk much... I did look at my '90 last night though...

Clip on top looking at the back of the connector the orange would be on the left, green in middle and black/white on the right

Thank you. So I got it right. I ran KOEO got codes 22, 54, 81-84. I dont have EGR and IAT hooked up. KOER 22,24,28,34,41,74,77. I checked VAM voltage VREF 5.08, VAT 3.08 and VAF .30. I read VAT suppose to be 2.8 and VAF .25. I cant get the VAF any lower. Ive tried to adjust VAM and thats low as it goes before it goes to .04. I cant figure out what code 22,28 and 41.

On your voltages, unless you have a calibrated meter, it probably isn't accurate to hundredths of a volt DC. The 3.08 is questionable tho.

What would cause the 3.08 and are there any adjustments to be made to get it into range. I am lost on those 3 codes. I have tried voltage adjustments on VAM. I tried 2 BAP’s and code still there. But weather has been around high 50’s and low 60’s. I was running stock ranger fuel pump but got a bigger one coming to push more fuel. Heard alot about 155 doing a great job on issues like these so we will see in a few days.

Another question I have an ABS light on so how do I retrieve codes. The 3145 wont read them. Will the 3143 read them?

I've had an ABS light for like 15 years, I have no regrets in not looking into it... RABS is less than ideal...

Thanks. I finally figured it out. There is a plug near ebrake cable, unplug it and ground the orange/black wire til ABS light flashes then count them. Its a one wire plug. So I have a bad rear ABS sensor on rear end. Finally figured out my VAM issue. I have an XTR VAM which threw me for a loop cause the openings are bigger than 2.5”. I ordered the correct VAM so hopefully that fixes that issue.
