band adjustments ? please help

I have just bought a 1988 bronco 2 . managed to drive it home, but the problem is seems like all gears are working against each other. took for ever to get to highway speed. now it wont move in reverse or low, torks against itself, wont roll in neutral, tries to move forward bot must be in overdrive.... need help bad
