Ball Joints

Ive got a ton of clunking going on in my front end.I know my upper ball joints are shot a.k.a gotta get new control arms.Those dont look to hard to change out but i think im gonna go ahead and change out my lower ball joints as well while im at it.How bad are the lowers to change??

Not that hard... you just need a good hammer. I tried a press... it didn't work. It just scuffed up the top of the ball joint although that could be because the lower arm didn't let the press fittings sit right and I think it was just squeezing the joint instead of pushing.

They are pretty easy. I did mine on the garage floor with hand tools in a few hours.

You need an alignment as well when everything has been installed.

Not always, my alignment ended up staying dead on, but you should at least have it checked when you are done to be sure.
