I was driving my 1998 Ford Ranger yesterday down the the road...bout 55 mph and it started shaking around the transmission....badly...like if u were driving on the bumpythings on the side of the road...but its definetly somewhere in the transfercase/driveshaft bacasue when it starts vibrating, you can put it in 4x4(electronic shift), and it will stop vibrating...Or you can slow down to 25 pmh and it will stop then you can hit the gas n go....it only does this every 5 miles....just depends where im driving....NEED HELP FAST...this is my daily driver so i need it fixed asap...

i'd look into u joints... possibly the road your driving on? try a different route...?

U joints. Or Maybe ball joints. I had an F150 that did that randomly. Turned out the upper ball joints were shot. At 45k miles go figure.
