Bad motor?

While driving home my son heard a thump and lost power, engine appeared to run on 5 cyl home (1 mile) with a code that said cyl #5 misfire, checked wire and plug all ok.
KOEO test ok, put back plug and wire and now the motor appears to have seized.

2002, 4.0L, Manual 120K miles, oil is good

Is it that the engine starter will not turn the engine over. Or have you used the front crank and attempted to turn it over by hand?

If you can't move it by hand I would say its not good.

Might be the starter throughout is hung. Pull the starter and take out the sparks and then try to turn her over by hand.
Since it is a manual you could simply put her in High gear and give her a push to see of the engine turns over... NOT low gear!
