Its plasma, and im guessing thats a regular thing for that brand, I would try to make them fix, if they say no call theyre bluff and tell them youve been told by a buncha people about this and they are gonna fix it.

usually once a Plasma does that, you wanna run it till it dies, its not worth it, I'd get a LCD. LCD is a lot more durable, and if you get one, be sure its not a cheap "soft top" (no LCD cover), the hard top LCD screens have a protective plastic/glass (known as Monster Glass, my dad actually remembers working with some people in the development of that back in the day, used on a lot of touchscreen electronics now, like iTouch and the iPad), that protects the LCD soft-cover inside from damage if it falls or something is spilled near it.

LED has a line issue, there is thousands of small LED in the screen, one blows, the entire line it was attached to does also. Never really thought about that in development huh?

That is an LCD TV with the hard cover. After further investigation this morning, turns out our friends godson that is visiting shot my fawking TV with an airsoft gun. That is why you see a bigger circle at the top, there is internal stress cracks, and then the line is just bleed off or something im guessing, or that line of pixels dead. My renters insurance wont fix it, and the childs parents are broke. Luckily for me, I purchased the $200 1yr protection plan. Took the TV down to lake charles today, said it will be in beaumont, TX this afternoon and they will fix or replace it.


EDIT: Just an update within the last few minutes, to add to my anger. This freaking childs parents... are actually his PARENT. Single father, who turns out not to be visiting my friends, but now LIVING wth my friends, unemployed. When I just spoke to him, he acted like my protection plan made it ok and that if I didnt have it, he wouldnt of been paying for it. Makes me want to fawk his day up just because I can.

i'll give you a little trick my dad used to use on me and bro when we were younger and did something stupid, give that kid a nice little thump on the side of the head, and i dont mean with your fist, i mean like with your middle finger. seems simple, but it'll hurt for a sec and make him think twice about doing anything other than breathing while in your home.

really i could just have him kicked off post. Civilians arent allowed to live, or stay extended periods in military housing, and he can take his dog with him.

edit: and ya, my dad used to thump me too. Used to shake his hand and his middle finger would just flop. He called it the dead finger.

I'd rather have LCD. Plasmas are power hogs. Go down to your local appliance store, find an LCD and a Plasma, and hold your hands in front of them. The plasma feels like a space heater.

maybe next time you see him you should elude to the fact that you know that you could get him kicked off post, that would probably bring an apology on real quick, it's a dick move, but so is letting your kid f*ck up someone elses sh!t
