bad fuel milage

To be honest, not everyone knows how to test sensors. Ive never tested a sensor, ive just gotten lucky all these years with replacing the right one, lol.

rearanger,no i do not have a manuel but ehow.com showed me how to clean it and check it,so i pulled it out and cleaned it,i do have to take it again due to i forgot my multimeter at the shop.i sually dont work on cars small trucks.i work on tractor-trailers for a living

wr250,firing order is 123 on passenger side 456 on drivers side,this help you out,or would you think like i am that driver side is bank 2.

Ford numbers their engines, 1,2,3 on one side and 4,5,6 on the other (and respectively for v-8's). the 4,5,6 side is bank two and is usually the passanger (right) side of the engine. easy way to tell is look at the front of the engine. which ever side is closer to the radiator (its a slight difference, but youll be able to tell) that is bank one or 1,2,3. make sure the old o2's and the new ones have the same number of wires. some o2's are heated (HO2S on a scanner) and some are not (O2S on a scanner)

my truck gets at 13.75 MPG, but i have heavier tires and wheels on it. which have made a pretty decent difference but worth it

I hope that helps you, my 2005 has never had that problem but was pulling crazy codes when i put a K&N cold air kit on it. turns out i over oiled the filter and the MAF got oil on it, cleaned it and no more codes . ended up replacing the KN with stock cause i sucked water in a couple times. went with stock FoMoCo A/F.

100 miles for half a tank doesn't sound too far off. I just came back from a 1200 mile trip and sure seemed like I was filling up every couple hundred miles. I'd put about 13-14 gallons in each time. I was pulling an empty trailer that weighed 700lbs for the 1st half of the trip. All tires at 45 psi. Seems like the 1st half tank goes the fastest. I'd guess I used 5 or 6 gallons to get down to the half tank mark. 5 gallons x 20mpg = 100 miles, so that's close. And when you're on empty, you actually have a few gallons left. I just dropped the tank a couple weeks ago to replace a filler tube. I thought I was almost out of gas, but there was at least 3 gallons sloshing around inside. So the gas gauge is not at all accurate on what's inside your tank. At least mine isn't. 1/2 tank mark really means I have 2/3 left. Or the 50% mark really means I have nearly 70% left. Something like that.

Its pretty easy to hook up a VOM to see if voltage is bouncing around. Seems a nice steady voltage is indicative of no vacuum leaks.
