bad fuel milage

im gonna drive it tomorrow, let you wr250

i do get white smoke not black smoke out of tail pipe.i did not know there are different ones.they all look the same to me.

What kind of white smoke? Thick, hanging in the air for a long time, or relatively light and dissipates quickly and very little trace if any after engine hot?

wr250,i took 02 sensor from after catylac converter and swapt out with bank 2 02 sensor and so far no engine light.i dont know if this makes a different or not but the upstream sensors are bosch and downstream is a denzo,i wouldnt think this would matter would it

If you no longer have the code you should be good. And as for the different brand they could have been out of the bosh catalyst sensors.

wr250 check engine light back on again, gonna try new plugs and clean throttle body.i dont know what else to do.

cleaned throttle body and put new spark plugs in but still get check engine light.does anybody know what else to do to get this check engine light to stay off, keeps throwing same codes running rich in upstream 02 sensors.

My 92 was throwing a rich code, i ended up changing the mass air flow sensor. Its up to you whether you want to spend that much money or not, im not guarenteeing thats going to fix your problem.

zman, ive done replaced everything but that,i think im gonna try cleaning this one first then if that dont do then i might just replace it.done replace 3/4 of emissions system.

i had a snap on scanner my buddy owns, had auto zone hook thiers up and advance auto hook theres up,they all say possible fuel injector, egr valve, fuel pressure regulator,so i started with cheapest first

The scanner may point you to possible components, but you then need to test them and confirm before spending money to replace. So far just replacing has not been a winning solution.

How would you feel if your mechanic just replaced parts that don't need to be replaced?

rearanger, can you tell me how to test a mass air flow sensor to see if it is bad

To be honest, not everyone knows how to test sensors. Ive never tested a sensor, ive just gotten lucky all these years with replacing the right one, lol.
