Watch this episode of Power Block TV! Mr. Esslinger himself shows that you can get almost 300hp NA out of these motors. I think it's INSANE when he puts that baffle in and is able to equal everything out, amazing what small things like that can do!

If I had the money, I'd buy one of these motors to put in a BEAR UP Tempo!

Good TV right HERE!!!! VVVVV

Thats it my neighbor has a 2.3 in his hydo with hillborn injection and running alky he is getting a little over 400hp. steel crank. chevy rods, reworked esslinger head, punch and stroked to 2700cc, a special stain steal header built on a dyno(collector and length adj.then welded) for max hp at 8,000 rpm, his boat was west coast 1# for many years,I wanted to take pic of the engine out of it before he donated the boat for a display, and have it photo shop it in my truck just for fun, and yes he has quite a collection of blocks with holes in the sides, thats racing

Haha...

That's a badass motor they built... Even the BLOCK was built by Esslinger!

300 horses (NA!) would be RAW as **** in a Ranger! Beast mode.

Esslinger sells the Ford Racing tall deck 2.3 block (the deck height is 9" stock deck height is 8.368") you can get up to 3000 cc's with the tall deck block, and stroker crank if you have the $$ to spend.

EVERYTHING is $$ from Esslinger, I'm going to run the adapter plate on my new motor (EFI to CARB) until I can afford that intake manifold! But their WILL be some serious upgrades, so I suppose I could end up with Esslinger's from the jump?! Lol...

Using the carb with the efi adaptor it will be very cold natured (no water to warm the intake) once the engine gets warm it runs real good above 3000+ rpms (just like a tunnel ram on a V8). As much as the adaptor costs (around $100.00) you would be better off going with the Esslinger intake (the intake for the Holley 2bbl to factory 2.3 cast iron head is 189.00).

True... I think I found the adapter for around 80ish, nonetheless, if I'm building it outside the vehicle, might as well do it right the FIRST time!

GOD, I WISH I HAD THE 10K TO HAVE THIS DONE ON A BOX STYLE (late 80's), STOCK LOOKING RANGER!!!

DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW MANY JAWS WOULD DROP ON A ROAD COURSE?!

I WOULD PAY TO SEE AN OLD ASS BROWN RANGER WITH BENCH SEATS,DAWGING AND COMMANDING THE STREETS!!!
