I have a 1991 ford ranger with a 2.9 litter. I was going down the road and it backfired through the exhaust and shut off and was hard to start back.

I have replaced the coil, fuel pump, eec relay. The plugs and distributor cap and rotor button are good.

I can not find anywhere what the timing is to be set at. Do you know? It is a 1991 Ford ranger with a 2.9 litter.
