So I've owned a few Rangers over the years and just got rid of a 2001 Ranger Edge that I had for 10 years. My dad bought it brand new back in 01. I bought a 2020 Tacoma TRD Off Road (I know, blasphemy). I took the Taco to Uwharrie and just couldn't enjoy myself because I was too worried about taking a new truck out there. My neighbor had a 2002 FX4 model that had been sitting since the transmission went out on him about a year ago. After checking out the truck, I bought it off him. There were a few transmissions at the junkyard that would fit but I decided to have it rebuilt. Since I got it back from the transmission shop I have put on the bed rack, roof rack, jerry can w/mount, and installed sway bar disconnects. The tires are 32's. Yes the rear are mud terrains and the front are all terrains. I replaced some ball joints and bushings and don't want to put new tires on the front until it gets an alignment. So that's the story and this is my truck. The plan is a budget build that is strictly to take to Uwharrie, the beach, and any other place I find. Oh yeah, the bed says Level II but was taken off a later model by a previous owner after the original bed was damaged. Any comments, questions, or suggestions?
