Back Seats

The trucks I'm down to are either a 3.0 flex-fuel Ranger or F-250 with the 5.8L, both have to be auto, 4x4, and extended cab. I think there would be a definite difference in MPG between those two, esp. highway, which is about 75% of my driving.

That 3.0 will do 20 on the highway at best, 18 will be your average... I'm kinda wondering why you don't just get a car?

Because I NEED a truck! My wife and I have 4 acres to take care of, a horse fence project, and can only afford to get one vehicle right now after selling her Firebird (the Excursion has become hers and my Explorer is a trail toy now). In a few years I plan on getting a car for the better MPG but need a truck more right now. I'm tired of trying to keep the inside of an SUV nice--sometimes you just need to be able to toss dirty junk in the back! ;missingteeth;
