Good to be back to almost nermal...cause I ain't never been normal. :icon_twisted:

So life has been throwing huge curve balls my way for the last couple of months, but I hope to catch up on my reading and posting over the next few days.

Hope everyone is well!

Truck's still up on jack stands with the wiring all torn to shreds, but hopefully that will be resolved soon! :icon_thumby:

Welcome back...I was going to say that's a nice looking truck...until I saw the third pic...hopefully you get the parts you need to get it working again

Mark,

Thanks, she actually looks better now...the whole steering gearbox was cracked, as well as bending both front tie rods/connecting rods...

She's got a full new MOOG front steering stuffies and gearbox. Her problem now is a shorted out Neutral sensing switch and Backup indicator, which fried the wiring in the cab, and the bulk head connector inside as well as most of the fuse box....

I hate electrical problems! :bawling:

I remember your post in the Canada thread about junkyards in your area and IIRC you were looking for a wiring harness at that time...too bad you're not closer to Ontario because I know they have a few 91s in the JY I go to...or, at least, they had them last time I was down that way...

Replacing that harness is a pretty big job, but not complicated as I'm sure you know...just a PITA due to having to tear apart the cab to get at it...I may have to replace mine soon because I think I destroyed the fuse box when I was hot wiring my fuel pump...so I may be making a trip down there in the next month or so...let me know if you are still having difficulty finding a harness and I'll have a look for you if necessary...

Mark,

Yep well we did find the harness we needed up in BC but the pigtails from the tranny were all gone on the trucks there, so we are having to sort out trying to reuse the ones we have. Hubby says they are usable but a bit toasty...hopefully they will work with repairs to the wires where they melted on the exhaust...*fingers crossed* It looks like it will be pouring all weekend, so this may have to wait for another week. We don't have a garage or even carport to work under, and Washington is notoriously wet this time of year. *Sighs*

Good to hear you got the harness...hopefully those connectors work too...and at least it's only rain...lol...we have about a foot of snow to deal with and the cold weather...hope Hubby has a garage or carport to work under...that at least takes away the element aspect that is unpredicatable...that's what I absolutely find most frustrating though...things never seem to break when the weather is nice and the ground is dry...

Maybe Mother Nature's way of getting back at us for our nasty habits...lol!
