Baby Blue Beauty Build Thread

Oh yea and we went on two little gnar hill climbs, failed both ( have about 400 pounds of engine+parts+tools+fluids in the bed, and my clutch and head came banging to the back and knocked down the tailgate. Needless to say I was glad I didn't make my buddy take pics, don't want him getting hurt

Couple more pics, not really any action shots

Truck is lookin real good that is, with all the mud on it. Glad to hear you got it running good and try not to go into any mud or water holes until your snorkel is put on.

Wish I could get out and offroad like that. The stupid auto tranny in my 93 I just installed took a dive after two days of driving it. Now it just sits with a for sale in it...:annoyed:...dont have money to get another one. Gotta make up for my losses.

Let me ask ya, how does a 3.0 5spd 4wd drive due in the foothills like that?

For being a little gutless engine and having 3-400 pounds in the bed and oversized tires it does awesome, I unfortunatley dont have the crawl ratio I want, most of the times 4lo works good but there are times where I am either slipping the clutch or bouncing all over the place.

Also got rid of all the engine crap outta the bed today, feels good

For starters I'm going to try to fix the mounts that I have now and Put on my bumper and mount the lights I got. Then Im going to get some factory replacement bumper mounts and mount and triangulate them. Then at some point I want to build a bumper similar to Slo-vo's.

I want to put together the JD lift I specified a few pages back

Next to come on the beauty is, ball joints, tone ring, snorkel, mount lights and bumper. Then start peiceing together the JD lift and get an 8.8.

I work 15-16 hours a week at minimum wage, and I am going on a relief trip to Haiti at the end of Feb, so progress will be slow untill after that. Then I will be putting whats left from each paycheck after gas and such 50/50 with upgrades and payments.

Did some work recently, I rebuild the intake, this is stage one, Im going to build it into a full snorkel once I can either afford an air ram or find another suitable top

A little bit of sanding and 2in abs fits right over the end of the intake

Fits right up in the pocket at the top of the fender, the 90* turn is pretty tight so I didn't cement it on so when I do the full snorkel I can just turn it then cement it

The whole thing is made outta 2in abs, no loss in power what so ever, and it fits very nice up in there, and its very solid.

On another note, took it to I and M and failed, it needs a new EGR and Camshaft Positioning Sensor to re register it, so Im going to get temp. registration so I can drive it till I can fix the rest of the crap on it.

nice start on a snorkle :icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

sucks about the emissions crap.....

So I got my hands on a ScanTool, and I cleared the codes on it, pulled the terminals on my battery and put em back on and ran her, guess what.........NO CEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's round two at I and M tomorrow, so lets hope it passes

Good looking snorkel, good job!

If ur cam sensor is still fouling, lemme know u can have my spare for shipping price seein as my 94 dont need one
