No, it won't bolt in, will it fit, usually.

An automatic trans radiator will work in a Manual trans truck but not the other way around, because you need the trans cooler

Just google: 1991 Ford Ranger 4.0l radiator

You will find what years will work, i.e. fits 4.0L V6 90-94
Looks like '90-'94

cool thx just looked into that on rock auto using their pics.
there are def diferent but does anyone know what it takes to swap in the 96 style into my 91?
cheers

suppose i'll find out, it being my only option atm due to funds lol

The 96 and 91 radiators look the same in the pictures I looked at on Rock Auto. I'm just curious as to what the part would be at the junk yard. I have only purchased a few things at the yards and mostly it was wiring harness that you cant get anywhere?

they are diff...

Okay yeah I guess I should have put my glasses on. The mounting points are all different. I don't think it will save you any money trying to get it to fit. Will have to move the trans cooler lines, and possibly get the upper and lower hoses for the 96. I do understand funds being limited. Just don't see any savings unless the junk yard unit is like $25 or less.

Right radiator @ rockauto.com is only $100 for auto trans w/A/C

I would just get the right 1 might save you some headaches later
