Had to get rid of the black plastic mirrors on my Bronco II. Since I found a few inquiries about this, but very little info, I'm posting the pics in case it helps anyone. My first time posting pics, so my apologies if it doesn't work.
These are reproduction mirrors that I purchased off the shelf at Advance Auto.. The top holes line up with the mirrors that I removed, so I temporarily attached the top bracket and marked the holes where the bottom bracket touched the door. I've read that some Broncos have the mirror brace inside the door panel even though they do not have this type of mirror, but my truck had no such brace. My solution was to make a simple brace out of a roll of galvanized steel that I had laying around. The white plastic clips came with the new mirrors. Everything feels very sturdy after installation.

Had to drill out two holes to accommodate the plastic clips

If you mean the mirrors, yes, they're just aftermarket copies of the stock towing mirrors on some b2s. So much nicer than the little black plastic ones.

I hate my little black plastic mirrors, but I love em too. I've been through a few tight trails where I would have ripped those towing mirrors right off! :D
