Hello:icon_thumby:

I'm looking at a few B2's in the New England Area and have a few questions about Engine and Transmission replacements.

It will probably see 95% road use, 5% off, not much 4 wheeling other than Winter driving and now and then?

What company's do you recommend for a direct replacement for each?

Are there any modifications that should be considered for either?
Different heads, cooling system changes, electrical mods, exhaust?

Any comments on bad experiences with either replacement would be appreciated such as supplier issues, warranty issues, customer service?

Thanks All

If you want to keep a stock engine and transmission, then go with Jasper Remans.

For the hassle of swapping the 2.9, you could swap in a 4.0.

Hi Jones
Thanks for the info.
Would that be a single OH cam? What about tranny -- use Bronco or swap in another?
Emmissions regulations go by engine or vehicle year? Rewiring? ECU/ECM?

I'm trying to get a grip around whether to:
Buy another B2 "AS IS" in good shape

Buy another and Upgrade engine and tranny?

But another B2 that has already been upgraded?

Thanks
