I bought some brand new door lock actuators and was able to get the old ones off the mount that's riveted to the door. Only problem now is that I can't get that metal rod out of the plastic assembly it's attached to, to swap in my new door lock actuators. Any ideas?

PlusI plugged in the cannon plug into my new door lock actuator for the passenger side and it doesn't work. I checked the fuses and tried the switch on both driver's side and passengers side. I'm not a electrician, so my next guess would be wiring. But what are the chances of both driver's and passengers side wiring being bad for the brand new actuator to not work?

Check the plugs at the front by your headlights that route power for the locks and windows, and speakers. Those can get really dirty and prevent voltage from getting through, even if they ohm out good, trust me on this one.......

So pull the headlights out of their cannon plugs and check plugs that are attached to it? Only thing is that my windows and speakers are working fine. Just the actuators themselves aren't working. I will take a look into it though.
