I'm pretty sure this is somewhere else but honestly I'm too lazy and don't have the time to look.

So heres the story. My truck (2005 Edge) has been pulling hard right for a while. I put it on the alignment rack at work and it shows the RR toed in and the LR toed out. The measurements also confirm that the distance between FR and RR is shorter than FL and RL. (I will put a picture up later after work). I've been told that the locating pin could be broken or the hole in the pad on the axle could've been made bigger. Has anybody else had this problem or know of any fixes?

It also might be good to note that I took her to hell and back multiple times for the first 3 years I owned her.

Thanks a lot for all the help.

Since you've used it like a truck, as you stated, check to see if you haven't bent a leaf spring or hanger...

A fix? Yeah....pull it apart before you kill yourself or someone else. If the spring center pin is actually broke it won't take much for that axle to travel either way on that spring and/or possibly break the other side. Quit procrastinating and get it done.

Sounds like a broken center pin, or rusted/bent spring hanger/shackle

Fix it before natural selection takes control.

Yeah I'm going to put it on the alignment rack in a few minutes. If the pin is broken how would I go about obtaining a new one?

I looked at the hangers and they aren't bent.

You can use a grade 8 bolt. If your replacing one, I'd replace both for safe measure...

A good parts store will carry the spring center bolt that you seek.

You might want to upgrade to explorer leaves while your at it...

Yeah? I was thinking about converting te rear end to an explorer for the disc brakes and LSD (but tats down the road a bit). What's the benefits of explorer leafs?

Longer leaf adds ride height, carry capacity, and smooths the ride a bit.

They are also slightly thicker (ie more bend resistant)...

how much ride height would they add? it has the factory 2" blocks. Would it be enough height to get rid of those or would i still need them? i dont have to money to lift the front yet.

1/2 to 1.5" lift, depending on truck, every one is different...
