The wife and I finally got a vacation this year.Her dad had taken her and her brother to Mobile Alabama to see the USS Alabama Destroyer.She told me about it and I had to see it.
Its called BATTLESHIP MEMORIAL PARK,Here is the website....

If you ever get a chance .......GO!You get to walk through the ship at your own pace,go into the gun turrets,even the 16" bad boys!
The park is ran by volunteers from donations,not funded by the government at all!

There is also a sub,the USS DRUM you can tour.

That was my choice...........this was the wife's..........7th floor of the Hilton in Pensacola Fl.

Damn theres a sub I'm in!!! my Dad lives down near there next time I visit i'll be sure to go. Try visiting http://www.armyavnmuseum.org/index.html it in Fort Rucker, Alabama went there last time one of the best museums I've been in besides the Wright Patterson Air Force Base Museum here in Dayton, Ohio. i lived in bama for 6 years and never made it down to mobile, had a lot of friends from that area too. i didnt even know they had a battleship

I have some more pics from inside the big guns to up load,the shear size of them up close is unbelievable.
You can basically go wherever you want on the ship.Best $24 bucks we spent on the whole trip!
